Father and Son

Few things excite him as much as watching his dad skateboard.  He asks to watch YouTube videos of Josh everyday and usually will watch one or two videos 3x's each before going to bed.  He's started memorizing what the video says and says it as Josh does.  He has a tiny finger board and skates on it all through the house while repeating josh's words from this video. His favorite line to repeat is "Skateboarding is a huge part of my life". It's terribly cute to watch.

While we were in NC for Christmas, josh went to The Skate Barn to skate and an hour or two later the boy, josh's Mom and I went to watch him.  Sonny was so excited. At first he watched and kept saying "Again, Again!".  Then josh grabbed him and started skating with him.  You should have seen this kids face. He had on a permanent smile. He was so happy.

That's not a cavity in his tooth, we had spinach & Blueberry smoothies before going to the Barn

They did this run probably 10 times:

He didn't even care that is was super cold.

Out on the Field

Remember the cotton field pictures from last Christmas?  If you don't, then hit that link and you will see them.  Well, this year the cotton field was a corn field.  It's neat to see a years growth (both in the boy and the field)!  Here are a few selects josh took while at Grandma's.  If I can, I will post some more later.

These Next two are from this past week, He was happy and then sad cause he wanted Josh's camera so badly.

Another NC Christmas

Our Tree

Yep. Christmas came and went as expected.  I didn't feel a lot of Christmas spirit this year AND I even listened to Christmas music during work BY CHOICE!  I dunno, it just comes and goes so quickly. Maybe when the boy is older it will be more Christmasy.  NC was great though.  As always I had a wonderful time with Josh's family.  There were a lot of cousins for Sonny to play with and he loved it.  We all loved it.

Josh's Mom planned a live nativity with all the cousins, it was hilarious:

Summer Vacation

I'm a month late with these pictures.  You didn't even know we went on vacation, because I didn't want to tell you when we would be gone, that way you can't sneak into my house while we were in North Carolina.  So now that we have been back for a while, I will tell you all about it.

Josh's sister and her family (4 kids - 9, 5, 2, & 2) rented a beach house for a week and we were able to stay there for a few days.   Josh's mom and youngest brother also stayed the night and his other brother's family (one 2 year old)  joined us during the days (they only live 15 min from the rented house).

We had a lot of fun.  The babe loved playing in the ocean, there were tide pools that were perfect for holding the right amount of water for a baby.  Although he loved the water, I think he loved playing with his cousins more.  There were such good influences on him that he started to walk!  For real.  He would watch these three two year old kids run circles around him and he wanted in on the action.   We were eating at a Mexican restaurant one night and he just got up and started walking around. From then on it has been non stop walking and climbing.

We went on Josh's brothers boat, Sonny was NOT thrilled. I think it was because his teething was really bad that day, not because he doesn't like being on open water with the wind blowing through his hair (the little he has).  Although, I am positive the anger could have stemmed from wearing a life vest. The boy HATES to be strapped into anything.

Oh we also went swimming, and Sonny liked that too.

Going Back in Time

Vince Guaraldi - Christmas Time Is Here [Instrumental]

Found at Christmas Time Is Here [Instrumental] on KOhit.net

Let us pretend it is January 2nd. All the holiday festivities are over. But we still have the Christmas spirit. We can still taste the candy canes and hot chocolate. Still smell the Fresh Pine candle (fake trees everywhere i look) and still finding bits of wrapping paper on the ground. Here are some of the pictures from Christmas in NC. Lots of little ones and lots of fun.
p.s. You better listen to the music as you look, b/c it too FOREVER for me to figure out how to get it there.

These are from our NY celebrations:
